Art Inspiration #1

Have you ever browsed through the Art Renewal Center's amazing website? I can spend hours looking through the thousands of pieces of art they have scanned into their museum. The images are not as readily available as they once were (many now require a paid membership to view), but there are still some freely accessible, and even the thumbnails can be pretty useful.

I love getting inspiration from the colours, shapes, and textures created by painters. A colour palette generator can be really handy to help identify the exact shades you'd most like to focus on. One of my favorite things to do is take an image URL - like one from ARC, for instance - and plug it in to the CSS Color Palette Generator.

This is what you get:

Pretty cool, right?
